BikeChat Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 September 2026
BikeChat helps motorbike riders find each other, connect, and ride together. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Who can use BikeChat
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter this agreement. One account per person, created with accurate information — including your real date of birth. An account we learn belongs to someone under 18 is deleted.
Riding and meeting people — read this one
- Never handle your phone while moving. Set your route before you set off. BikeChat's navigation is made to be glanced at on a mounted phone — only look when it is safe, and only where the law where you ride allows it. The road has your full attention.
- You meet real strangers through this app. Meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. BikeChat verifies no one's identity, age or riding ability.
- You ride at your own risk. Motorcycling is dangerous. BikeChat provides introductions and information, not safety guarantees — we are not responsible for what happens on a ride, at a meetup, or between riders.
- Obey traffic law everywhere you ride. Road alerts and speed limits are guides, not guarantees — verify with your own eyes; never rely on them.
Your conduct
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive riders.
- No harassment, hate, threats, or sexual content directed at anyone.
- No impersonation, spam, scams, or commercial solicitation.
- No false road alerts — riders trust these with their safety.
- No encouraging illegal riding (racing on public roads, riding impaired).
- Respect the block feature: contact someone who blocked you through other means and you're out.
- Child sexual abuse material, and any sexualisation or exploitation of minors, is forbidden. We remove it, close the account, and report it to the authorities.
You can block any rider, and report a rider or a message, from inside the app. We review reports and can remove content, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.
Your content
What you post (profile, photos, messages, routes, moments, alerts, meetups) stays yours. You give BikeChat a non-exclusive license to store and display it inside the app so the service can work. Don't post content you have no right to share. Before you post a route, remember that other riders see its path, with at least the first and last 500 m hidden (see the Privacy Policy).
Copyright (DMCA)
If you believe content in BikeChat infringes your copyright, email bikechatapp@gmail.com with the work, the location of the infringing content, your contact details, and a good-faith statement. We remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
The service
BikeChat is provided as-is, free of charge today. We may change, add, or remove features, and we may discontinue the service. We do our best to keep it available but promise no uptime. To the maximum extent the law allows, BikeChat's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us (currently nothing).
Ending your account
Delete your account anytime inside the app (Account → Settings → Privacy & safety → Delete account) — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what gets removed and what is kept.
Changes and contact
If these terms change materially we'll note it in the app first. BikeChat is run by Ioannis Georgios Triantos. Questions: bikechatapp@gmail.com.
